Do I need a license to start a credit repair business? What are the credit laws by state?

A license is generally not required to repair a clients credit. However, laws can vary from state to state. Click here to see laws by state

A few states do require a surety bond.  If you use a bonds service, the amount you actually pay will only be a small percentage of the total bond.  In many states you'll pay as little as $100.  To find out if a bond is required in your state visit Bonds express http://www.bondsexpress.com/credit-services-organization-bond/
